Dear Friends,

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the Center Valley Tavern has had its “Last Call” on Sunday January 24th, 2010.  Over the years we have had the pleasure of serving so many patrons that became our friends, which makes this notice even more difficult.

Throughout it all we’ve seen musicians blossom through our open mics, had many wannabes sing their soul out during karaoke, shared many intense games of pool, discovered just how much some guys can consume on “all you can eat wing night”, had several great bands and projects rock the place, answered Trivia questions that those on TV game shows wouldn’t even know, seen Halloween costumes that were beyond description, shared several Christmas and New Year Parties filled with love, wrote our names on the wall to commemorate special occasions or just plain silliness, searched for ghosts overnight, and even had a local Lehigh Valley celebration that Patsy Cline would have thought was “Crazy”.

We’ve had fantastic staff members from around the area and even from around the globe share their stories and listen to yours.  Our building was established in 1872 and it’s hard to imagine inside our walls for the past 138 years having more friendships bond then we have seen in the past 3 years.

While our website is still functional, be sure to visit our “Entertainment” page where you can find links to many of those who performed here and please continue to show your support for them wherever they may appear.  There is also a “Photos” page that may even contain a picture or two of you as a keepsake!

Although the friendliest bar in town “Where everybody knew your name” as one person wrote on the wall, will now sit silent, the memories will last a lifetime for those that were a part of it.

We ask you not to be sad that’s it’s over, but to be glad that it happened and in your hearts “we’ll be here”.
